The Global Paint for Charity Honored with 2017 Metro Atlanta Chamber’s E3 Award

(Atlanta, October 5, 2017) - We are all honored, humbled and delighted to announce that the Global Paint projects (Known as “Global Paint for Charity or “Global Paint“ or “GPC“) has won the Metro Atlanta Chamber's  2017 E3 Award in the NEW VENTURE category for startup or new business that advances sustainability through environmental and sustainable business solutions.

Here is a quick overview of the three finalists in the category, including Global Paint Founder and CEO, Rony Delgarde sharing the importance of recycling paint and use it as a resource to help the underserved communities throughout the world.

The Global Paint project was created to give each person in developing countries and those in need in the United States, we serve the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of their shelter through every gallon of recycled paint. Through our efforts, we strive to protect the environment, change lives, beautify and transform underserved communities throughout the world. Currently, the organization serves 24 developing countries in the Caribbean, Central America, the Middle East and Africa and many major cities in the U.S. We are passionate about the youth here in the City and offer numerous volunteer opportunities in Atlanta areas. Every day many young people are inspired by the work they perform with our organization whether by volunteering to paint in our community or to work at our donation facility and storage. We have dozens of outdoor home painting projects throughout the city for the elderly senior residents that are physically and/or financially unable to paint the residence on their own. Also, the youth help us to paint murals, classrooms at public schools and parks in our communities. Last year, the juvenile offenders have completed 2930 hours of community service—this is amazing!
We have collected more than 200,000 gallons of paint and redistributed more than 180,000 gallons to help with renovations and rejuvenation of family homes, homeless shelters, basic schools, churches, orphanages, and hospitals in third world countries and targeted communities in many major cities right here in the U.S. The Global Paint for Charity aims to reduce used paint from businesses and residential properties by 20% by the year 2020. Last year, we launched the "Basic Schools Beautification Programs in Africa” to paint approximately 8000 schools in 12 countries in West Africa by 2025. We are honored that our efforts are helping many underserved communities throughout the world.

Many thanks to The Metro Atlanta Chamber for this outstanding award, also thanks to GPC Board of Directors, volunteers, donors and friends who have been actively supporting and promoting our humble cause.  It’s estimated that 80 percent of the world’s homes and schools face the dreary reality of unpainted walls in underprivileged communities, and more than 70 million children have never had access to a painted classroom.  Seeing the smiles on the faces of every person we help through our programs is a great joy for all of us---whether it is a millennial who needed to complete multiple hours of community service, or an elderly widow who needed assistance in face-lifting her property. Thank you for making this possible and for your unwavering commitment to the work ahead. With your help, we can brighten our world one gallon of paint at a time. Because we believe that the right color in homes or classrooms can truly change the atmosphere of their environment and even livelihoods.

Shipped 4500 gallons of paint to Dominican Republic!

With so many natural disasters with record hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, and destruction of lives and properties around the world lately, it's awful to see that many countries have taken a real beating in the past 3 months! Surely we hope our contribution will make one feel better and our prayers, thoughts, and supports go out to everyone effected by all those terrible events.
Another 18 wheeler trailer filled with nearly 4500 gallons of Latex paint and supplies to its final destination to Dominican Republic in Caribbean. Huge thanks to the UPS Foundation for providing to our friends at Grace Dominican Mission Team an in-kind 40 ft shipping container to ship the paint. It heads out on Thursday to Los Gomez in the Dominican Republic. This paint, which we estimate will impact over 2,000 people in the region, is so much larger than anything we have attempted in Caribbean. Let’s pray the container gets through all the hurricanes and impacts many people in the country. Our hope is that all underserved populations may live in a very comfortable and painted home one day.
We are all very thankful to Rick Raymond, Grace Dominican Mission Team leader and First Vice President at Wells Fargo in Battle Creek in Michigan for what his organization has done to help move this project from concept to reality and Rony Delgarde for his continued leadership and the great work, his dedication and generous heart. “I don't know what your belief system is, but everyone involved in this project feels that God's hand has been on it from the start- casting, directing, and guiding us every step of the way. “ Rick Raymond.
Stay tuned for full details about the progress and livelihood improvement in the regions. The pictures are from our partners and volunteers loading all the paint onto the container.
Visit our Partner page to see if your company or non-profit organization may be eligible to partner with us and receive an immediate tax deduction for your support and in-kind contribution or send us a request to get some free paints. We have great news for those of you who will need latex paint for new homes or to renovate and upgrade existing damaged homes for victims from the Hurricane Harvey and Irma, Global Paint will donate 25000 gallons of paint to help our communities down the East Coast!! So if you know anyone who can use our product please share this with them. We will be releasing the full details in the next few days for you to get the paint and take advantage of our free paint programs to change lives and beautify the world. http://globalpaints.org/partner.php

About the Global Paint for Charity
The Global Paint project was created to give each person in developing countries and those in need in the United States, we serve the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of their shelter through every gallon of recycled paint. Through our efforts, we strive to protect the environment, change lives, beautify and transform communities throughout the world. Since 2010, we have collected more than 200,000 gallons of paint and redistributed more than 160,000 gallons to help with renovations and rejuvenation of family homes, homeless shelters, basic schools, churches, orphanages, and hospitals in targeted communities around the world and in many major cities right here in the U.S. and the fair market value of such donation is 4.6 million U.S. dollars.

All around the world, we can notice the immediate need of colors to bring hope and happiness in poor communities. It’s estimated that 80 percent of the world’s homes and schools face the dreary reality of unpainted walls in the underprivileged communities, and more than 70 million children have never had access to a painted classroom. While there may be more pressing issues in developing countries than the facade of a neglected wall, dusty classroom or a building, we believe that the right color in their rooms, and classrooms can truly change the ambiance and atmosphere of their environment and their livelihood.

Thanks to our program success, we have donated paint to support our major projects in Liberia, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Guyana and Jamaica. We still have a lot more work to do to be able to bring colors, hope, unity, peace and happiness to many other regions around the world. While getting people and businesses to donate paint isn’t a problem but collecting, mixing, repackaging and shipping the paint requires lot of funding. With just a small monetary donation from people like you and a little help from the corporations and private firms, we can make a real difference to better livelihoods around the world and help eradicate the causes and effects of poverty and sanitation solution. Your donation can provide buckets for repackaging the paint, cover transportation and shipping costs, or life-changing opportunities like supporting our micro-finance program. With your help, we can paint the world one gallon of paint at a time.

Keynote Speaker at the Energy Exchange Executive Luncheon

Dear Friends,
I was honored and blessed to be the Keynote Speaker at the Energy Exchange Executive Luncheon for the Independence Day Celebration at Georgia Power Company on Thursday! Such a wonderful audience with a reputable organization, I had the privilege to share my stories and explain how arriving in America at the Miami International Airport over a decade ago with a dream to change the world, and figured out a way to recycle leftover paints from businesses, residents and manufacturers that would otherwise end up in the waste stream, but provide the products to needy charities and vulnerable individuals in developing countries in Africa, Caribbean, Asia and Central America, as well as targeted communities in the United States. I thank the LORD for the experience. My stories are no different than anyone else, but God has truly been blessing me so that I can continue to be a blessing to others. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for my future!

I'm now booking speaking engagements to share my stories so if you are interested in booking me to speak to your group, your class or at your next conference/event. Please visit the Speakers Bureau page at http://globalpaints.org/book-speaker.php or send me a direct message.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Global Paint wins the national Energy Globe award of United States!

Greetings and Congratulations!!

We are all so honored, humbled and delighted to announce that the Global Paint projects (Known as “Global Paint for Charity or “Global Paint“ or “GPC“) has won the 2017 national Energy Globe Award for United States for outstanding environment solutions. It is the largest and most renowned environmental prize worldwide.

On June 5th, UN World Environment Day, the national winners of the Energy Globe Award were presented in a global online campaign under the patronage of UNESCO and in cooperation with UNEP. The Energy Globe Award includes 178 participating nations and over 2000 projects were submitted for the 5 categories of Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Youth. The Energy Globe Award is presented annually to outstanding and sustainable projects in the area of environment and energy around the world.

The Global Paint project was created to give each person in developing countries and right here in the United States, we serve the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of their shelter through every gallon of recycled paint. Through our efforts, We strive to protect the environment, change lives, and beautify and transform communities throughout the world.

We are a non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia working together with commercial businesses and other non-profit organizations, residential households, and Paint Manufacturers to nationally recycle post-consumer Latex paint for our cause. Since 2010, we have collected more than 200,000 gallons of paint and redistributed more than 160,000 gallons to help with renovations and rejuvenation of family homes, homeless shelters, basic schools, churches, orphanages, and hospitals in targeted communities around the world and in many major cities in the U.S.

Our decisions today are responsible for determining the outcome of our planet in the future. With responsible recycling practices, we can ensure the reduction of resources, healthy ecosystems, and a healthier society. According to a source, 150 million gallons of paints end up as waste in The United States, United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand combined every year. The U.S. EPA has found that paint can be a source water pollution- especially if it ends up in landfills. Improper paint disposal can have disastrous effects. One gallon of improperly disposed paint can pollute up to 250,000 gallons of drinking water, which can endanger species and destroy our fresh vegetables, fruits and drinking water.

Meanwhile, The World Health Organization estimated that 1.5 billion seniors are living in very destitute homes and 3 million children die each year from diarrhea and bad germs on interior surfaces including unpainted walls and insanitary conditions, also mosquito viruses result in the deaths of more than 6 million people every year. Paint can protect against mold, bacteria and dangerous germs, the presence of which have a disproportionately negative effect on health outcomes in poorer communities. And paint can even be mixed with insecticide to stave off mosquitoes, which carry malaria and other viruses like Zika and yellow fever that kill more than 6 million people per year.

All over the world we can see the immediate need to use colors to bring hope and happiness in poor communities. It’s estimated that 80 percent of the world’s homes and schools face the dreary reality of unpainted walls in the underprivileged communities, and more than 70 million children have never had access to a painted classroom. While there may be more pressing issues in developing countries than the facade of a wall, a classroom or a building, we believe that the right color in their rooms, and classrooms can truly change the ambiance and atmosphere of their environment and their attitudes.
Thanks to our program success, we have donated paint for major projects in Liberia, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Jamaica. Not only our projects help protect the environment, create jobs, brighten the future of those in need and spur creativity, but some projects also have a real health benefits in an age of uncertainty surrounding global outbreaks. Our framework places youth and minorities at the center of everything we do. We support small business owners, and create a Micro-finance program to help the underprivileged people to launch a small paint business and assist them to realize their dreams.

Many thanks to the Energy Globe Foundation for this outstanding award, also thanks to our board members, volunteers, donors and friends who have been actively supporting and promoting our humble cause since it was launched in 2010 and have supported a variety of projects over the years. The main objective of GPC is to recycle unused paint and use it as a resource to help those in need around the world, we are protecting the environment and creating a brighter future for tomorrow. And for millions of children and their families, the paint is the gift of life, hope and happiness.
Given the great success of Global Paint for Charity to date, we still have a lot more work to do to be able to bring colors, hope, unity, peace and happiness to many other regions around the world. While getting people to donate unwanted paint isn’t a problem at all but collecting, mixing, repackaging and shipping the paint is a huge hurdle. It's amazing how much can be achieved with just a small amount of money from people like you and a little help from the corporations and private firms. Your help will make a real difference to better livelihoods around the world and help eradicate the causes and effects of poverty and sanitation. Your donation can provide buckets for repackaging the paint, cover transportation and shipping costs, or life-changing opportunities like starting a small painting business training. With your help, we can change the world. Let’s work together this year to send gallons and buckets of hope into the world’s darkest shantytowns and slum cities.

Global Paint for Charity is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, your monetary contributions and donations are tax-deductible.

Let’s say "GPC is a win for everyone”

Published by Rony Delgarde · 17 mins ·
Great day!! Many thanks to Mr. Togar White in Smyrna, Georgia for his paint donations and $150 monetary contribution to support the Global Paints projects. Togar has lived in this property since purchasing it 35 years ago. As you can see, he likes paint and every year he repainted his house, as a result he has lots of leftovers and he couldn't get rid off. “I am much more than happy to pass on good words and donate to the cause. Great organization” said Mr. White.

And two hours later, our friends from Friends of English Avenue stopped by the warehouse in Norcross to pick up a paint donation for the Vine City English Avenue EARTH DAY celebration which is going to be one of the largest volunteer events in Atlanta history this Saturday, bringing nearly 1000 volunteers from schools, churches, businesses, philanthropy to English Avenue. “This paint will be used to paint community flower boxes that will serve as beautification for the English Avenue community. This paint will also be used to repaint a house that Friends of English Avenue , in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, in order to have a community police officer to reside in the home to further reduce crime” Said Kali Gatlin, Director of Friends of English Avenue. Global Paint for Charity donated 500 gallons of paint to support all Earth Day activities from April 22- April 29 in the Westside and Vine City English Ave.

So everybody won today!! Mr. Togar White received a tax deductible receipt for his donations, GPC got a check to support our programs and the Friends of English Avenue got a paint donation for its 2-day greater Atlanta community EARTH DAY volunteer effort. Win Win Win!!

It is about time for you to get involved and it is funnnnn! Tell us what types of colors you like and why? Please consider a financial donation to support the mission of Global Paint for Charity and help us change lives one gallon at a time. Visit us online at www.globalpaints.org . Thank you…!!
