A Message from the President of Global Paint for Charity, Mr. Rony Delgarde

Dear Friends, Staff, Volunteers, Donors, and Partners,

There were many ups and downs worldwide and in our communities this year. But if you're reading this, we're glad that you are blessed to see another holiday season. I am so delighted to speak for all of us at Global Paint for Charity, and I can't even imagine how grateful we are for your continued support for over ten years. Your kindness means so much as together we reach communities in most profound need worldwide, transforming schools and renovating homes to help others live their lives from a position of strength, stability, and self-reliance.

Global Paint for Charity was founded upon a singular mission: to reuse latex paint to reduce suffering and brighten the lives of billions around the world. Global Paint collects, sorts the paint by color, type, and characteristic, ships the paint and building materials to vulnerable communities in developing countries. In collaboration with worldwide donors, paint companies, foundations, corporations, and partners, we manage to provide Latex paint to beautify orphanages, basic schools, sports centers, universities, clinics, and libraries in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Together, we are citizens who care and catalysts for change-makers, artists, muralists, and caring individuals who will create and sustain economically sound, environmentally healthy, and sustainably eco-friendly communities.

Your giving accomplishes so much. Global Paint for Charity remains the world's first sustainable and charitable paint organization and the largest shipper of donated Latex to third world countries, shipping over 40 million pounds of Latex paint and serving 44 countries, reaching 13 million people worldwide since 2010. Last year alone, Global Paint exported 920k pounds of Latex paint valued at over $2.24 million to 12 African countries and eight countries in the Caribbean and Latin America. In addition, we increased our exports by 15% to help subsidize more freights in the global pandemic last year. So from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Your gifts support thoughtful, accountable projects that bring practical assistance and change the individual children, families, and whole communities. We couldn't have done it without everyone's support.

Global Paint for Charity, Inc. (GPC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that envisions a colorful world where every person thrives while promoting a sustainable, healthy, and beautiful environment. The organization is guided by its Board of Directors and Advisory board representing all community sectors.

Since 2010, all Global Paint programs and services have been made possible through the generosity and support of other foundations, individuals, and businesses. Heading into 2022, we are ready for the new normal, and we are prepared to be as active and engaging as ever while working harder to reach more communities in need worldwide. I invite you to consider giving by Midnight on December 31, so we can expand our programs and, more importantly, to make sure our corporate partners will match your tax-deductible, year-end gift! What you give will help transform the lives of those in deepest need.

If your organization would like to support our cause and become a donor or supporter, we have several sponsorship levels available. Contact us at 855-853-7772 or Email us at info@globalpaints.org for further information and pledge your support.
Please, be as generous as you can to bless more impoverished communities and families!

Thank you so much for partnering with us to extend a hand-up, not a handout. We look forward to a great year.

Respectfully,

Rony S. Delgarde

Dear Friends, Covid-19 Hits all of Us Hard, What You Do Will Make a DifferenceDear Friends, Covid-19 Hits all of Us Hard, What You Do Will Make a Difference

Dear friends,
No words do justice to the uncertainty of this pandemic. The entire Global Paint for Charity team is thinking of you as we continue to practice social distancing and face fears of illness and financial loss. What keeps us hopeful these days is the generous support of the Global Paint community and the core values we cherish.

Global Paint for Charity, Inc. has been in partnership with various other foundations to respond to the tremendous needs from COVID-19. As you are aware, millions of jobs have been lost. The Coronavirus has closed schools and most community centers, creating a gap in meals for children. Seniors, people with chronic conditions, and those with compromised immune systems face higher risks in public spaces — forcing many to remain at home. Many immigrant families and service workers who mainly work in the hospitality industries, and particularly in construction, environmental services, and agriculture, now follow the stay-at-home orders in our state and experience extreme anxiety over the uncertainty of what lies ahead. They can barely make ends meet and pay rent right now; simply, they cannot absorb any incomes.

While we are all justifiably concerned for the intrinsic families and their children in these fraught times, we must not forget these particularly vulnerable groups in our communities in the United States. They are just as deserving of financial assistance and support during this pandemic.
We need your support now. Our mission relies heavily on charitable support and revenue from our programs and paint donation drives to operate. We have lost nearly 85% of our critical funding sources during this Covid19 pandemic. Revenue from paint collection fees and shipping abroad have come to a halt as individuals, retailers, and contractors canceled all donation requests, and partners canceled all paint drive events and programs.

While our revenue stream decreases, the demand for our services has increased. With the Coronavirus pandemic, many paint retailers were already struggling to keep their doors closed and continued to pay their fixed expenditures while there have been no activities. Their ultimate choice is to get rid of their current inventory, which creates a surge in our large paint donations. Our operations team is desperately trying to keep accepting large paint donations for our global programs. But more substantial donations mean larger storages to keep the paint, and additional warehouses are additional fixed costs that impact our ability to remain viable.

We care deeply about the environment and understand that many people can not save to purchase a gallon of paint in their daily life right now. We have a surge of new requests, as many Georgia families are seeking financial assistance. Much of the numbers of those requests have grown substantially in the past two weeks, particularly from the immigrant communities in Dekalb, Gwinnett, and Fulton counties. We have been a hub and provider of paint supplies to the community in need, this time we want to provide not only the paint but other financial and non-financial aid to targeted communities affected by this health crisis around the world. If you can help our mission, please give today. You matter now more than ever.

One of the more alarming messages from a recipient who received 800 gallons of paint from us to renovate several dozens of homes for single seniors and veterans, started that she and her colleagues are calling supporters to make a sacrifice to help them to help the people. She said ” Rony, if you can make a contribution to help us through these next few months, to ensure that our program does not close its doors.  We would end up on the streets…. you have helped us with paint but now we need finances. I appreciate whatever you can do and I’m asking God for a special blessing upon your life for being liberal in your sacrificial giving.”
Whether you are a longtime supporter or this is your first donation, please consider making a gift during this critical perio
d. We need your help to bridge the gap until we can resume normal operations.
Your generous financial donations will support the most vulnerable populations hit by the pandemic (including seniors, our immigrant families with children, single mothers, construction, and hourly workers).
Here’s what we will be able to do until the crisis is over:
  • Support our local paint contractors, professional painters, and construction workers who are out of work and may not be able to qualify for unemployment benefits.
  • Assist the elderly and immigrant families through our faith organizations by supporting donation of money for food and making it very easy to receive assistance.
  • Check-in on elderly relatives and neighbors by calling on the phone, grocery shopping while practicing social distancing to help protect the elderly.
  • Send letters and words of encouragement to senior citizens and nursing homes, offering our support and love.
  • Provide support to our animal and pet owners in communities in need.
  • Work with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Rise Against Hunger, Goodr and other local non-profits to provide meals to the homeless, and children while the schools are closed.
  • Support year-long food and clothing drives, as well as, backpack ministries that provide yearlong support to children and families.
  • Help everyone by staying home and maintain social distance.
  • Educate local immigrants to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and use hand sanitizers in their native languages.
  • Providing supplies like masks, hand sanitizers, and toilet paper to immigrant families.
Again, Global Paint for Charity needs you now more than ever. When we all come together as a unified one, we can help make a more significant difference. We hope you will help us help others. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Global Paint for Charity if you are interested in supporting our efforts.
Global Paint for Charity is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donations are tax-deductible. Organizations that wish to provide financial or in-kind support to Global Paint for Charity COVID-19 Pandemic Fund may donate online or send checks payable to Global Paint for Charity, P.O. 48855, Atlanta, GA 30362. Background of Global Paint for Charity
At Global Paint for Charity, we believe a coating of paint on the walls can change and impact people's lives for years to come. We know that many people cannot afford to paint their houses due to poverty or constant natural disasters every year. According to the World Health Organization, 1.5 billion families and seniors are living in destitute homes with harmful germs and deadly bacteria on the interior and exterior surfaces, and more than 170 million children have never had access to a painted classroom. Nearly 80% of the third worlds’ structures face a dreary reality or unpainted walls due to lack of resources such as paint. Whereas in the U.S., home is also where the multitudinous waste starts. Over 150 million gallons of paints end up as waste every year. According to the paint industry sources, each resident in the United States has over 10 gallons of unwanted paint in their basements and garages. That's enough paint to stretch up to reach the International Space Station and return to earth ten times per day for 10 million years. Or, if the paint doesn’t get disposed of in the right way, it can lead to serious environmental problems.

Global Paint for Charity provides a streamlined service that solves both of these issues. We, not only work together with businesses, corporations, households, and paint manufacturers in a collective effort to recycle post-consumer paint, but our technology also provides other organizations, and individuals access to some top paint brands include Benjamin Moore, PPG, Valspar, Sherwin Williams, Glidden, Rodda, Miller, Behr, ACE Hardware, etc. to assist their local housing rehabilitation projects in low economic communities and through our outstanding and visionary leadership, as many as 5000 to 6000 gallons paint have been shipped at a time. More than 320,000 tons of discarded paints have been removed from the waste stream, recycled, then shipped to 42 countries in West Africa, the Caribbean, Central & South America, targeted areas in the Middle East, and targeted cities right here in the United States. The fair market value of our distributed product is 8.5 million U.S. dollars.

The goal is to use colors to help beautify the local structures, boost people's confidence and happiness, inspire the youths, change lives, and assist the vulnerable individuals in reaching their full potential. Everyone wins!!!

At Global Paint, we believe that everyone, no matter their circumstances, deserves to live in a beautiful and colorful environment. Increasing access to paint in underserved communities could improve the local economic power for millions of vulnerable families and uplift the spirit of the less fortunate individuals for many years to come.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Global Paint for Charity

Dear friends, Donors, Board of Directors, Volunteers, and Recipients,
It's hard to describe what it's like to write this email on behalf of the Global Paint for Charity organization at this time of year. 2019 has been a significant year for Global Paint for Charity, with notable projects in new communities, many articles, radio interviews, recognitions, and unprecedented success with partners and recipients for the solutions we offer.
We should like to thank everyone who has made this possible.
Thanks to our donors and supporters for their generosity, enthusiasm, and their continued support, and to our Board of Directors, Volunteers and all of our hard-working employees who show up and do their job every day, sometimes with little recognition and lack of resources. You see our needs and are committed to supporting our success in any way you can. Thanks to our advisors and partners in the logistics industry for ensuring overall smooth-running operations and executions.
Thanks to the people in the media for believing in our message and for keeping our business connected to our community month-after-month and year-after-year. Thanks for your consistently excellent articles and positive goodwill. Thanks for using your platform to deliver our stories to your audience all around the world. And many thanks to the people who booked me to speak and share my stories at their distinguished conference and special events this year. The feedback and support I have received will help me get more speaking gigs for the next year and I was so thankful for your hospitality and your generosity.
Thanks to our partners and suppliers, without your support, we would not be able to offer our products and service with the level of quality that is required every day.
Thanks to our donees, beneficiaries, and end-users, who are the ultimate recipients of our efforts. Thanks for your trust, your commitments and beliefs in our mission. We have been delighted with the positive feedback and ideas for improvement that we received this year and we heartily encourage you to keep sending them so we can assist you better!
And thank you to God for blessing us and so many people who have come into contact with our company throughout the years! As the Psalmist David says, “Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.”
Finally, we greatly appreciate everyone who has nominated us for awards or sent kind words and congratulations to us in the past! Everyone of us here at Global Paint for Charity thanks you for that trust and faith, and we understand how important it is for us to make every one of those moments of Joy as perfect as it possibly can be.

So, from the deepest part of my heart, I wish you all the happiness, love, and joy you could desire during this beautiful Holiday Season. May your travels be safe and your time with family and friends.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, filled with health, happiness, and abundant blessings.
Sincerely,

Another 40ft container of 6000 gallons of paint arrived in Central America

Another 40ft container of 6000 gallons of paint arrived in Central America

For those of you who have asked what it looks like when a container full of paint is arrived and unloaded in a third world country...here's one we shipped with over 6000 gallons of paint in March arriving in Central America to be delivered to our partners in the region. As you can see it goes smoother and safer than our previous ones. This is the 12th container full of paint to Central America. The paints are manually unloaded from the container, sorted and separate by color, brand, and characteristic then store at a warehouse. Then they’re loaded up into smaller pickup trucks to be distributed to the local homeowners in more remote areas in small villages that requested it for the renovation and beautification of their homes, schools, churches, children clinics and women centers.

Thank you to all of our paint donors and paint drive organizers! Can’t imagine the joy and comfort this paint will help bring in their lives for many years. It’s estimated that 80 percent of the world’s homes and schools face the dreary reality of unpainted walls, and more than 170 million children have never had access to a painted classroom nor a comfortable place to play, grow and learn life and leadership skills. At Global Paint for Charity, we believe a layer of color of paint on the walls not only can create an attractive and vibrant appearance but it can also uplift the spirit of the community for years to come.

Thank you to the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management teams and Staff Members for their support, the entire Blueprint Painting & Renovations and Bear Mountain Custom Painting teams for the donation of their leftover paint from recent projects and commercial properties renovation and new construction. Thanks to many other businesses and everyone who donated! Now tell us, why is that paint you no longer want still in your basement and garage?
Click on the link below or call us at 855-853-7772 to schedule a pick-up or drop off. We will send a professional volunteer team to retrieve your items and supply you with a tax-deductible receipt for your donated paint. https://www.globalpaints.org Take Action!!

Global Paint for Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2010 to implement sustainable solutions to practical sanitation solutions and waste management. Through our outstanding and visionary leadership, we provided paint and beautification products to needy charities and vulnerable individuals in developing countries around the world, as well as targeting domestic communities in the United States. As many as 5000 to 6000 gallons paint have been shipped at a time to 34 countries in West Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and war-torn areas of the Middle East and beyond.
We’ve made it our mission to hire and retrain individuals and volunteers with barriers to employment; collect discarded paint that would otherwise go to waste and overflow our landfills; and use it to beautify underserved communities, support local street artists and people around the world. We believe in using color to change lives and beautify our planet, one gallon of paint at a time!
