Background of Global Paint for Charity
At Global Paint for Charity, we believe a coating of paint on the walls can change and impact people's lives for years to come. We know that many people cannot afford to paint their houses due to poverty or constant natural disasters every year. According to the World Health Organization, 1.5 billion families and seniors are living in destitute homes with harmful germs and deadly bacteria on the interior and exterior surfaces, and more than 170 million children have never had access to a painted classroom. Nearly 80% of the third worlds’ structures face a dreary reality or unpainted walls due to lack of resources such as paint. Whereas in the U.S., home is also where the multitudinous waste starts. Over 150 million gallons of paints end up as waste every year. According to the paint industry sources, each resident in the United States has over 10 gallons of unwanted paint in their basements and garages. That's enough paint to stretch up to reach the International Space Station and return to earth ten times per day for 10 million years. Or, if the paint doesn’t get disposed of in the right way, it can lead to serious environmental problems.

Global Paint for Charity provides a streamlined service that solves both of these issues. We, not only work together with businesses, corporations, households, and paint manufacturers in a collective effort to recycle post-consumer paint, but our technology also provides other organizations, and individuals access to some top paint brands include Benjamin Moore, PPG, Valspar, Sherwin Williams, Glidden, Rodda, Miller, Behr, ACE Hardware, etc. to assist their local housing rehabilitation projects in low economic communities and through our outstanding and visionary leadership, as many as 5000 to 6000 gallons paint have been shipped at a time. More than 320,000 tons of discarded paints have been removed from the waste stream, recycled, then shipped to 42 countries in West Africa, the Caribbean, Central & South America, targeted areas in the Middle East, and targeted cities right here in the United States. The fair market value of our distributed product is 8.5 million U.S. dollars.
